ONE builds the foundation for the future

ONE is a new company in the construction industry, led by an owner who knows his trade inside out. What it lacked was a team – and a clear view of how to build one.
We recruited a site foreman and a B2B sales rep, and placed an interim HR professional in a role ONE didn't yet need full-time. Three different needs, but only one partner and one process to deal with.
"On a busy day, it's good to know exactly what to expect and when. The only thing I have to decide is who I want to hire."
A new company rarely needs everything at once. But it does need the right people in the right order. And someone to keep the process on track while the owner runs, builds and operates the business.
One partner, three different assignments
ONE had three needs that looked nothing alike: a site foreman who can lead employees and temps and keep work moving on site, a B2B sales rep who can open doors to the right customers, and an HR function to keep people matters in order. Especially during a start-up period, when new processes need to be created and there's a need for an overview of work permits, certificates and the like.
That would typically have meant three different suppliers, with three different ways of working, each delivering on their own part – because no single agency is sharp at everything. Instead, ONE got one contact at Spitze and the same process across all three assignments: clear milestones and regular updates on where we are and what happens next. At Spitze, we work with independent recruiters, so we can always deliver across any industry and profession.
Interim, before full-time makes sense
HR was a role ONE Danmark needed. Just not full-time. Not yet.
A permanent HR hire is a big investment for a company still finding its shape. No HR at all, on the other hand, means the owner handles contracts, terms of employment, documents and people questions on top of everything else.
The answer was an interim HR professional who covers the need to the extent it actually exists today. As ONE grows, the role can grow with it – and become a permanent position when the time is right.
Advising the owner-manager
Jesper, the owner of ONE Danmark, is an expert in his field – demolition and asbestos removal. But HR processes and recruitment can be a jungle – and a time sink – when you haven't worked with them before. Especially in an industry where the financial consequences are serious if you don't have work permits, asbestos training, collective agreements, safety and working environment under control.
Our job was to take those worries off his plate and make the final decision simple. We ran the process and advised along the way on everything that comes with a new hire. He only had to decide one thing: who he wanted to hire.
What ONE Danmark got out of it
- A site foreman and a B2B sales rep in place
- HR capacity to the extent it's needed now
- One contact and one process across all assignments
- Time to run the business
